A Tangier landmark
Swain Memorial Church
A historical postcard caption traces the congregation to Lee’s Bethel, established in 1835. The church was rebuilt in 1870 and enlarged in 1890. The present building was dedicated in 1899 and renamed Swain Memorial in 1900.
